Shelley DeLon is a native Washingtonian and former top-ranked junior who began playing tennis as a toddler. Her competitive career includes top regional rankings and national titles, establishing a strong foundation for excellence in the sport.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Shelley returned to tennis after a career in Healthcare Finance and has since built an accomplished coaching résumé throughout the DMV. She brings over 15 years of teaching experience and holds a PTR Level 2 certification. Her coaching roles include serving as a volunteer assistant coach with the Howard University Division I Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams, guiding JTT teams to local and sectional championships, and developing ATA National junior champions, NJTL regional champions, as well as numerous USTA tournament winners.

Shelley’s coaching philosophy centers on discipline, execution, fun, and competitive excellence. Off the court, she takes greatest pride in her son and her family.
